Along with the many strangers you have left feeling your profound sadness, I too wish to express heartfelt sympathy for your loss.
We often wonder why such a beautiful gift is generously given and selfishly taken away. Ours is not to question this deed, but to find peace in our hearts for the cherished moments we shared every day. May his soul find comfort in the arms of the Lord, and may you cherish the memories you made while he was yours for the short time given.
Take heart in knowing strangers feel your sadness.
With sincere sympathy,
a friend

My heart breaks for your family. There are no words to remove your pain, only memories: share them. Memories spoken will keep him in your hearts where he always has been and will be forever. My sincerest condolences, may you somehow find peace.

I never had the joy of meeting Jacob, nor have met anyone in the family, however your neighbors (Amy and Bruce) kept me posted on Jacob. My heart and prayers go out to your family. Your daughters will have a terrific guardian angel looking after them forever. Blessings to you during this difficult time.

We are lighting a candle for Jacob, for it to guide him in eternal life. My heart goes out to his family and friends. He was so young, yet such a little fighter. May God wrap his loving arms around him and keep him safe, from sickness and pain. I send our love, prayers, and blessings out to his family & friends to help heal from such a tragic loss.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I currently work and State Elections, and even though we've never met, I've heard of Jacob and his story. My heart goes out to Jacob and his family. I just lost my father who was 62 to cancer in August. To lose someone you love more than anything in unbearable, but also having a son of my own, I can't imagine the hurt you're facing but also how strong you will be now for your other children. You will be in my prayers Poulin family.

I will never tie my skates again without missing Jacob and I know his teammates feel the same way. The Poulin family deserves our gratitude for the way they handled this excruciating ordeal with enduring grace. You found a way to include Jacob's extended family and friends throughout Jacob's illness. You kept us informed with the looming challenges and we were buoyed by your faithful optimism. While it will take a while to cope with this tragic loss in our
