Condolence & Memory Journal

Kathleen and Bob,
I am so sorry to hear of Marylynn's passing. I'm sorry that we lost touch over the years. She was so kind and loving and she always made me laugh! She was so good to Nikki...I will never forget that! Praying for you both during this difficult time.

Bob and Kathleen, we are so sorry for your loss. We only had the pleasure of being with Marylynn several times, but she showed us nothing but what a wonderful person she was. We will always have fond memories of your family and Lake George.

When I think of Marylynn I think of someone who loved and cared very much. She was full of life and lived witnessing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and providing an example to us all of how we should live our lives. Always smiling, always immediately seeing the good in everyone, never judging anyone for their faults. I remember a very kind, generous, humble servant. She had that humility that often many people take for granted but she also had an inner confidence that shone through and courage to speak for what she believed to be right. We were very priviliged and honoured to have her and Bob as guests in our home when they came to Ireland on one of their many visits and I regret now that I didn't take more time to appreciate the wonderful grace that was in our midst at that time. Marylynn was a wonderful guest and I learned an awful lot from her example. Her gentle, charitable nature was something to behold and I even remember her trying to tip the check out operative at the supermarket. She went about giving smiles and little kindnesses, encouraging words and wisdom and was so enthusiastic and full of vigour. She loved her daughter Kathleen and her husband Robert so much and didn't need to tell us because she showed us all by her example, the way she looked at them both and how her eyes would light up whenever she spoke about either of them. The three are such a beautiful family and Kathleen has grown to be the woman she is today in no small way because of the loving example shown to her by her mother and father. One of the gentlest and kindest people I ever met, when Tracie and I visited she insisted on 'picking us up' at the airport. Little did I know it was several hours drive but she made such light of it and was so generous to give up her time right while she was already so busy running around getting a surprise party ready for Bob's 60th birthday. We have not seen her now in so many years but we remained close and we so appreciated the many little suprise gifts that Marylynn would send in the post over the years, just more examples of the huge heart filled with kindness and charity that was our dear friend. May the Lord come to meet her. May she Rest in Peace. From Liam and Tracie and family Lucan, Dublin, Ireland
