Cortney Ervin Wheeler, 37, of East Hartford and formerly of Ellington, passed away at his home on Sunday, October 9, 2016. Born in Manchester, the son of Scott Wheeler of Chester, SC and Erva Jean Luginbuhl of Ellington, he grew up and lived in Ellington before moving to East Hartford. He attended Ellington High School and was a carpenter by trade. He loved music and playing his guitar. His family loves him and will miss him dearly. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter Ella; his brother, Quenton Wheeler and his wife Heather of Tolland; his niece and nephew, Brianna and Austin Wheeler of Tolland; his paternal grandmother, Elois J. Wheeler of Vernon; his step-mother, Irma Wheeler of Chester, SC, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Ervin and Viola Luginbuhl; his paternal grandfather, Harry L. Wheeler, and his aunt, Patricia C. Koehler.
