Gloria G. Stone, 88, died peacefully at Manchester Manor on March 1, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Wilbur R. Stone, Jr. Gloria leaves her children, Michelle Barry (Patrick Pacini); Glenn Lepore (Eileen); Gayle Bedard (John); two step-children Sam Stone (Janelle) and Marcy Johnstone (Scott); grandchildren, Ryan Barry, Matthew Lepore, and Mireya Lepore; two great grandchildren Aubree Barry and Tyler Barry, step-grandchildren, Jeremy Stone, Bethany Stone, Nathan Stone, Benjamin Stone, Daniel Johnstone, Russell Johnstone, and step great-grandchildren Connor Stone and Natalia Stone and a brother Kenneth Gibbons (Barbara). Born and raised in Manchester, CT, Gloria lived in East Hartford for much of her life. She was active in her church and worked for many years in the Hartford Public School system. Gloria was a big fan of UCONN Huskies men’s and women’s basketball. Gloria’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Manchester Manor for their kind and compassionate care. Her family will receive friends and family at the Samsel and Carmon Funeral Home 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor, on Thursday, March 8, 2018, from 10:30 - 11:30 am. A funeral service in the funeral home will follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill will be private.
