Lisa Lynn (Soucier) Lukas, 49, lifelong resident of Vernon, beloved wife and soulmate of Thomas Lukas, passed away unexpectedly at home, on Sunday, September 10, 2017. Lisa was born in Vernon on August 21, 1968 to the late Gilman and Aldene (Bossie) Soucier. She graduated from Rockville High School and worked as an administrative assistant with visiting nurses. She married her best friend, Thomas Lukas, in 1989 not long after meeting at a Whalers Hockey game. Lisa had a wonderful smile, a feisty attitude, and would light up a room when she entered it. She loved her boys and her newfound title of Grandma with the addition of baby girl Harper. Lisa was selfless, often putting others before herself. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, and knitting. She loved her dogs and cats. Aside from her husband of 28 years, Thomas Lukas, Lisa is survived by her sons, Tory Lukas and his wife Ashley, of Tolland, Lee Lukas, First Lieutenant in the 101St Airborne with the United States Army, Kevin Lukas, of Vernon; her brothers and sisters Gilman Soucier, Jr and wife Sylvia of Vernon, Lynn Gaspar and her husband Stephen of Ashford, Robert Soucier and his wife Candy of Vernon, Larry Soucier and husband Hugh Brady of Vernon and Texas, Wayne Soucier of Vernon, Anita Trahan and her husband Philip of Vernon, Allyn Soucier and wife Joan on Canterbury, Annette Grant and her husband Scott of Vernon; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Andrea Squires and Mark Squires; as well as her cherished granddaughter Harper Lukas; Aside from her parents Lisa was predeceased by her brother William Soucier, and sister-in-law Holly Soucier. Family and friends are invited to Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road, (Route 83) on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 5 - 8 pm. Funeral services and burial are private at the request of her family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Lisa’s name may be made to Susan G.
