Marblin W. Fitzpatrick, 78, of Windsor, beloved husband of Annie (Robinson) Fitzpatrick, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Tuskegee, AL to the late Deacon Leonard and Vicyrea (Alexander) Fitzpatrick, he lived most of his life in Hartford and has been a Windsor resident for over 20 years. Marblin served his country proudly with the US Army during the Korean War. He worked as a firefighter on the Hartford Fire Dept for 28 years and was a member of the Phoenix Society. Marblin was an avid golfer but his true passion was his family who will miss him dearly. Besides his wife Annie of Windsor, he is survived by his son, Gary Fitzpatrick; his daughter Jane Gardner; his grandchildren, Allen Joseph Fitzpatrick, Timothy Gardner and Andre Nelson; his sisters, Norma Fitzpatrick of Bristol, Lueretha Germany of Cleveland, OH, Louise Herron of Montgomery, AL, Theilene Williams and her husband Bobby of Tuskegee, AL, Doris Kindell and her husband Alphonso of Tuskegee, AL; his brothers Leonard Fitzpatrick of Hartford, Gilbert Fitzpatrick Sr., of Tuskegee, AL; his aunt Gladys Howard of New York; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son Jermaine Fitzpatrick, and his sisters, Annice and Junita Fitzpatrick. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, January 13 at The Lodge Community Chapel, 130 Deerfield Rd Windsor followed by burial with military honors in Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery. His family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 9:30 AM to 11 AM. For online condolences please visit
