Mary (D’Amato) Lombardo, 99, of South Windsor, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018. She was born in Hartford on August 20, 1918. Mary joins all of those that have gone before her from “the Block” saving her a seat at the table for the Saturday night card game. Mary leaves behind a son Paul Lombardo and his wife Susan of South Windsor; a daughter Donna M. Lombardo and her partner Marisa Rodriguez of Wethersfield; grandchildren Claire Ferraro and her husband Jesse, Jerry Lombardo and his wife Amanda, Anna Lombardo, and Anysia Lombardo; great-grandsons JP Ferraro and Grayson Lombardo and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank Lombardo, her parents John and Maria (Barone) D'Amato, brothers and sisters, Carl "Jerry" D'Amato, Anthony D'Amato, Minnie DiManno, Rose Guerriero, Jane Dinovellis, Dominic “Bobby” D’Amato and half-brothers and sisters Joseph D'Amato, Harry D'Amato, Christine Arnone and Frances Cane. Her family will receive friends for Calling Hours on Sunday, February 11, 2018, from 2-5 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018, at 10 a.m., in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield.
