Suzanne B. Kuchas, 95, of Windsor, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital. She was born in Hartford on May 4, 1919, daughter of the late Casper Bertash and Susanne Kovetzka Bertash, and has resided in Windsor since 1945. Suzanne was a member of the St. Casimir's Womens Club, part of the Lithuanian Womens Club, and a member of the Womens Club at Stanadyne where she worked as an automotive fuel pump inspector for many years. She was a kind and generous woman who loved her family and gladly accepted the role of caregiver whenever help was needed. Suzanne is survived by three sons, Michael Kuchas and his wife Kathryn of Granville, MA (formerly of Suffield), Raymond Kuchas of Windsor, and Theodore Kuchas of Windsor; three grandchildren, Myles Kuchas, Jessica Leonard and her husband David, and Lynn Kuchas and her husband Stephen Muschiano; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Anicetas J. Kuchas; three brothers, John, Constantine, and Edward Bertash; and four sisters, Bernice Bertash, Alice Green, Mary Bertash, and Jessie Bertash. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 4-7 p.m. at the Carmon Poquonock Funeral Home, 1816 Poquonock Ave. in Windsor. Her funeral will begin at the funeral home on Wednesday (April 1, 2015) at 9 a.m., to be followed by a mass of Christian burial beginning at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Poquonock.
