Warneda Anderson, 74, of East Hartford, beloved wife of John Anderson Sr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Hartford Hospital. Born in McComb, MS to Juanita (Williams) Jamison and the late Jesse Caston, she has been a resident of East Hartford for over 25 years. She retired from Pratt & Whitney after more than 18 years. Warneda was an avid fisherman who loved her family and cherished taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother James Jenson, sisters Christine Bedford, Bertha Jamison and Annette Smith, step-father WZ Jamison, her aunt and fishing partner Emma Battles, brother-in-law Johnny Moore and granddaughter TiShonda Howard. Besides her mother Juanita and her husband John, she is survived by her sons, John Anderson Jr and his wife Patricia of East Hartford and Lashaun Anderson of East Hartford; her daughters, Mary Cooper of New Britain, Sarah Hite of Bloomfield and Bernett Anderson of Hartford; her brother Shihan Ghazi of Hartford; her sisters, Hattie Outlaw of Hartford, Catherine Moore of Flint, MI, Mattie Anderson and her husband Herbert of Flint, MI, Fannie Eastwood of Windsor, Ernestine Butler of Hartford and Maryann Jamison of Flint, MI; sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, June 15 at The Lodge Community Chapel, 130 Deerfield Rd Windsor followed by burial in Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. Her family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 AM to 11 AM.
