Wynette (Samms) Harvey of Windsor, beloved wife of the late Marcus B. Harvey for 56 years, went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whom she loved and adored on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. Born in Jamaica, West Indies, daughter of the late Hubert and Amy Samms, she was the only sister to eight brothers, all who predeceased her. Marcus and Wynette leave two children, Olivia Harvey and Milton Harvey; two granddaughters, Jelisa Harvey and Abby Harvey; and a host of family and friends. Wynette attended Prospect Bible Chapel in Hartford for over 56 years and while residing with her daughter, attended Church of the Living God in Manchester. Family and friends may gather at The Lodge, 130 Deerfield Rd. Windsor, on Monday, April 6, from 5 – 8 p.m. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7, at The Lodge, 130 Deerfield Rd. Windsor. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Windsor. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the following: Prospect Bible Chapel, 756 Prospect Avenue, Hartford, CT 06105 or to Windsor Independent Living Association, 45 Maple Avenue, Windsor, CT 06095.
